The Procrastinating Smoker

You know smoking is bad for you and that you want to quit, but you keep putting it off. Putting things off, takes work and procrastination involves doing work so that you can avoid doing work that you do not wish to do!Procrastination will see a smoker doing something relatively unimportant as a way of avoiding doing something more important like, saving their own life.Procrastination is a habit just like smoking, which means it’s something we learn, then do it so automatically we don’t even realise we’re doing it until it’s too late and there’s another half an hour, half a day, half a year, half a decade forever gone…The good news though, is we can un-learn procrastination, and develop new habits that mean we will be far more vigilant to the most common procrastination temptations.
