Joplin council rejects smoking ban - for now
JOPLIN, Mo. (AP) -- A divided Joplin City Council rejected a proposed smoking ban but will reconsider the issue after more study. The council voted Monday night to reject a proposal to ban smoking in any public place or workplace, including outdoor patios.
